Vehicles Covered Seeker

Hey there, I am Sandmann and I'm here to teach you how to play Seeker in an effective way and teach you on some of its mechanics.

What is Seeker?

Seeker is a light tank with a focus on speed. It is the fastest tank currently in the game and can easily escape or reposition. It is also the latest alpha tank introduced to Tyr.

Seeker's kit

Seeker has a lot of options to engage in combat. Seeker's ability, however can be used for many things. It pings the closest unspotted enemy for your entire team, similar to a spotting shell. This is useful in more ways than it might seem at first glance:

  • You can use the intel on where the nearest enemy is to sneak around
  • You can use it to weed out a sniper or stealthy light tank and shoot them
  • One of the Keystones (thrill of the hunt) improves your speed by 15 km/h for 10 seconds when it detects an enemy, making escaping from danger easy

How to play

Seeker is a very squishy tank, having the second lowest base hp and a weak armor profile. The most consistent Seeker strategy that I would recommend for new players is to use your high speed to move into a risky spot or snipe enemies from a distance.

Seeker has a very good base dispersion stat their movement dispersion, however is VERY high. Consider stopping for a brief moment to accurately shoot enemy weakspots.

Armor and Modules

Seeker has a bad armor profile and their track modules are very exposed and easy to hit. However you can mitigate this by turning your front towards enemies with 60mm of dispersion or lower as your tracks will not be penetrable for them (note that while you will not take damage, you WILL still get tracked if you get hit there) Other notable modules include a turret module on the sides of the turret and an engine module in the back.

Shooting

Seeker's gun has a fast 4s reload but only averages 155 damage per shot. Seeker has 70mm of penetration and can easily hit weakpoints if you are standing still. Use this to your advantage. Consider using components that give flat buffs to these stats such as Weakness Analyzer, Shell charger or Shell Stabilizer. You have enough sustained damage and speed to confidently 1v1 many of the tanks in the game if they are in a disadvantageous position.

You do NOT have enough damage to reliably 1v1 Alecto or some of the other light tanks if they are built for damage.

Mobility

Seeker has the highest top speed in the game but it has very low accelleration. Consider using components such as drift sparker to boost accelleration and even further boost top speed. Use this mobility to pick your fights and easily run away or reposition. Your movement is your greatest strength. Use it.

End

That concludes this basic guide for Seeker, go out there and have some fun with the fastest tank there is.
