Patch Notes — September 27, 2025
By wacko
- Hi everyone, we’ve done a large pass on components and also made systemic buffs to light tanks so they’re more effective in their role. There are also a lot of balance changes based on last month’s competitive tournament; notably some nerfs to Tigre’s armor, but also buffs to vehicles that should be useful counters to armor like Arbalest and Vanguard.
General
Components
Adaptive Hardening
- Reworked - New effect: Reduces damage taken by 0.6% every second you are spotted. Maxes out at 12% and resets on going unspotted.
Advanced Repair Gear
- Reworked - New effect: Increases Module Repair Speed by 35% and generates 5 energy whenever a repair completes
Calibration Agitator
- Reworked - New effect: Increases your Aim Speed and lowers your Base Dispersion by 50% when an enemy bounces your shot. Lasts until your next penetration.
Energy Expander
- Effect reduced to 30% from 50%
Extended Gearing
- Effect reduced to 15% from 20%
- Trigger condition increased to 10 seconds from 8 seconds
- No longer affects Hull Traverse Speed
Hot Chamber
- Effect increased to 12% from 8%
Quick Slot
- Effect now triggers on firing either type of alternate shell (secondary or tertiary)
Reactive Modules
- Reworked - New effect: Reduces Damage Taken by 15% when one of your modules is broken. The damage reduction is lost on firing.
Relentless Adapter
- Effect increased to 20 from 10
Sensitive Sights
- Effect increased to 20% from 18%
Shift Cloak
- Reworked - New effect: Adds 6% Camouflage while unspotted
Sidescrape Gear
- Reworked - New effect: Increases Hull Traverse Speed by 35% while stationary
Stable Rangefinder
- Now takes effect from the start of the match (would previously wait for your first reload)
Movement
- Hover vehicles’ hovering should now be more stable, allowing them to correctly use components that are active when a vehicle is stationary
- Hover vehicles now more correctly keep their momentum in air, allowing them to take jumps more similarly to how treaded tanks do
Vision
Design Note: Scouts and sneaky snipers haven’t been as competitive as we’d like them to be, so we’re making some adjustments here to boost their roles
- Max camo increased to 95 (up from 80)
- Firing your gun now removes 30 camouflage (down from 35)
UI
- The armor visualizer has an updated art treatment - the color scheme is now green/gray for penetration/bounce predictions rather than green/red
- Components are now grouped by category
- Added tooltips for unlockables
- Added tooltips for scoreboard scoring categories
Audio
- New sound effects for handbrake sliding
- New sound effects for tech tree and component loadout selection in the menu
Maps
Scorch
- Numerous changes have been made based on feedback from overall playtest feedback as well as the recent competitive tournament run on this map
- The north, south, and west parts of the map have been extended to provide more room to maneuver
- Another ammunition zone has been added on the west side of the map
- Each team’s side of the map now has deeper defensive positions to retreat to when pressed
- The western corridor is now more open and has more terrain features
Core
- New hill added in the south-west corner
New Map: Divide
- This new map is covered in bushes and emphasizes stealth and camouflage. The center has opposing sniper perches across a large, dense field of foliage. Get ready for surprise ambushes and sneaky sniper play.
- The northeast corner features a dense urban environment for close-quarters combat
- The southwest has more open terrain with elevation for flanking and mid-range fights
Vehicles
Arbalest (Siege)
- Penetration increased to 100 from 80
- The siege ability now also increases penetration by 30%
- Max strafe speed increased to 7 from 5
- Hull Traverse Speed increased to 33 from 28
- Reload Time increased to 15 seconds from 13 seconds
Tech Tree
- Added new tech option: Siege Load - Activating Siege Mode speeds up your Reload Time by 1/2 seconds
Aster (Recall)
- Ability cost decreased to 33 from 40
Brawler (Mine)
- Tracks broken by Brawler mines now take 50% longer to repair
- Mine placement adjusted to group them closer together, so it is harder to drive between them
Cooper (Stealth)
- Max speed increased to 65 km/h from 62
- Added new ability animation that retracts the gun while in stealth to reinforce that it’s disabled
Eir (Heal)
Tech Tree
- Energy Shot Keystone - Reworked
- Energizing Shot: Heal Shots also grant the target a 30% boost to all speed parameters for 8 seconds
Evrand (Drone)
- Max speed increased to 61 km/h from 56
Ikarus (VTOL)
- Max speed increased to 52 km/h from 48
Tech Tree
- Stealth Flight Keystone - Effect reworked: Flight Form retains Camouflage and amplifies it by 25% but loses the ability to fire while in the air
Ranger (Boost)
- Using the ramp now gives 90% fall damage reduction for a short time (up from 25%)
- Fall damage tech tree node replaced with a 2-point repair speed tech node
Rika (Blink)
- Max speed increased to 57 km/h from 53
Tigre (Sonar)
- Reload time increased to 13 seconds from 12
- Sonar has had its side and rear armor reduced to allow flankers to be more effective against it (especially low pen ones, like Recall or Vanguard) and to force Sonar players to be more thoughtful with their angling against frontal enemies. The front armor of the vehicle is intended to still be incredibly strong.
- Reduced side armor from 55->45mm
- Reduced Side turret armor from 55->50mm
- Reduced rear armor from 35->20mm
- Fixed rear turret armor to correctly be part of the 20mm plate (was previously accidentally a 55mm plate)
Vanguard (Missile)
- Shell damage increased to 225 from 200
- Max speed increased to 65 km/h from 60
- Vehicle is no longer slowed when missile is in flight
Firing a missile no longer reduces your camo briefly
- Stealth Missile keystone now replaced by Scrambling Missile, which increases enemies’ dispersion and dispersion penalties when they are in the slowing zone left by a detonated missile
- Popping a missile attached to an enemy now breaks that enemy’s tracks (or engine module for hover vehicles), in addition to placing the AoE slowing zone
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the Repulsor bubble wouldn’t visually scale when using the Repulsor Magnification keystone tech
- Fixed the Damage Taken Energy tech for Sentinel and Recall to give the correct amount of bonus energy
- Fixed an issue that prevented the Drone Damage Amplification keystone from applying its damage amp effect
